No AAC authorization is required if you meet the following conditions:
- Flying outside restricted areas.
- You fly no more than 120 meters (400 feet) above the ground.
- The drone operator is on-site (within 100 meters) and directly controls the unmanned aircraft.
- You are flying under normal visibility conditions.
Additional Regulations:
- The operator is accountable for the drone’s safe operation, including keeping a safe distance from other aircraft and properties.
- Drone operations are prohibited within 2,000 meters of any aerodrome or landing site and along crewed aircraft’s flight paths.
- Drone operations above 120 meters (393 feet AGL) require the Civil Aviation Agency’s written authorization (AAC).
- Give priority to crewed aircraft’s passage; manned aircraft always have the right-of-way.
- The operator must always maintain visual contact with the drone and turn on the navigation lights.
- Must adhere to the manufacturer’s maintenance protocols.
- The operator oversees each drone operation.
- You must apply if you require authorization from AAC for the drone operation.
- To do so, download and complete the form (aeronautical easement form). It must be received at AAC at least ten working days in advance of the start of the operation.
